This short guide is based on Cakewalk by BandLab, but the concepts apply to most modern DAWs.
1. Open the Export Menu
Click the Export button and choose the Advanced option.

2. Select a Preset
From the list of presets, select “Tracks – No Automation/FX.”
This ensures that your vocal tracks are exported clean, without any effects or automation. For proper mixing, it’s essential to start with the raw recordings—free from plugins.

3. Set the Format
Make sure you’re exporting in an uncompressed format.
WAV is a standard choice and works well for sharing with producers.

4. Choose What to Export
In the “What to Export” section, set the Source Category to Tracks, and select only the tracks that contain vocals.

5. Check the Range
Under the “Range” section, ensure that you’re exporting the entire project so no part of the vocal performance is left out.

6. Export the steams
Press the “Export” button.

7. Send the uncompressed steams
The steams are saved in the project folder. This can be different according to the Cakewalk configuration.
This is the standard path:
C:\Cakewalk Projects\<project-name>\Audio Export
